Registration

  • For current MoCDA members to register for the 2023 Conference.
  • For individuals who are currently not members of MoCDA to register for the 2023 conference. An annual MoCDA membership will be included with the price of the conference.
  • One-time event price for out-of-state career development association members not intending to become members of MoCDA. This includes Kansas Association of College and Employers (KACE) as well as other NCDA state divisions.

Preconference Activities June 1, 2023

MoCDA and it annual conference welcomes all students and professionals engaged in the career development field including; higher education, k-12 schools, agencies, private practice, corporate, and government. This year's conference will feature a Keynote address, three breakout sessions, and roundtable discussions.

Registration & Refund Information 

Registration is extended until Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at 8:00 a.m.

The cost of your registration includes parking the day of the conference, all conference materials, morning refreshments, lunch, and afternoon snacks. Door prizes will be awarded at the closing session.

For anyone needing to cancel their registration, full refunds will be available until May 19, 2023. After this date you may transfer your registration to another attendee by notifying Jerri Arnold-Cook at jarnoldcook@missouriwestern.edu. Partial refunds are not available.

 

Parking, Shuttle Service, & Conference Location  

Conference parking permits will be issued for the Bear Park South Parking Garage located at 920 South Holland Avenue, Springfield, MO 65897. Check-in on both June 1 and June 2, will be held on the First Floor of Glass Hall which is within walking distance from Bear Park South. Registrants may also choose to take the Bear Lines Shuttle free of charge. The shuttle stops across the street from Glass Hall. Glass Hall is located at 851 South John Q Hammons Parkway, Springfield, MO 65897.

Registrants will be sent emails beginning on May 15, allowing them to choose their lunch entrees, indicate if they have any dietary needs, and suggest roundtable topics. A campus map, more detailed information on the Bear Line Shuttle, and conference will also be provided. 6:30 pm Informal Dinner, Springfield Brewing Company

Transportation to Preconference career center tours is not provided. Participants will be provided with a schedule and addresses. The informal dinner will be held at a local restaurant and is forthcoming. The cost of dinner on June 1, is not included in the conference cost.

Continuing Education Contact Hours

The National Career Development Association has approved of 4.75 hours of continuing education credit. 

Hotel Accommodations

We will not be recommending a specific hotel for the MoCDA Conference. There several hotels and types of lodging options available in Springfield, MO. If you are unfamiliar with the area we have provided links to two hotels that are located near Missouri State University for your consideration.
